oasis_wooln_rslack_13It’s officially the dead of winter in Chicago, so to celebrate our launch in the windy city, we wanted to offer an extra layer of coziness to our guests. Luckily, just as temps were dropping, we met Margaux and Faustine, the founders of luxe knitwear startup WOOLN.

Founded in 2015, WOOLN isn’t your typical fashion start-up. Rather than outsourcing production to factories, their Cashmere hats and Alpaca snoods are hand-knit by a stable of talented New York seniors. Their goals: to make quality products for people who want to know where their knits come from, welcome retirees back into the active workforce, and restore the value of forgotten talents. The concept has taken off, with some even saying their goods are the gift of the year.

Working with the women at WOOLN, we created a limited edition blanket just for our Chicago guests. It’s hand-knit with a chunky light grey wool yarn in a custom stitch pattern, and it’s 100% made in the USA.

Everyone who books an Oasis stay in Chicago by
February 28th, 2017
will receive a complimentary Oasis x WOOLN blanket ($400 retail value) at check-in, lovingly knit by hand and guaranteed to make a warm impression. To redeem, just use code WOOLN when when you book a Chicago stay with us.

Want to see how it’s done? Tune in this Wednesday, February 8th at 3pm on our Facebook page for a knitting livestream from an Oasis home!
